Wrapping up loose ends

Week 1

Having just returned home from my first lecture, I have come up with an idea for my composition. I am hoping to create the sounds and atmosphere for a level in a hypothetical 8 bit computer game. This will include a soundtrack and sound effects. I am thinking Streets of Rage/Sonic the Hedgehog/Mario.

Going down the computer game path will enable me to research the history of computer game music which in turn will help me to provide evidence that I appreciate the musical/aesthetic context in which my piece sits.
